GPlay won xfunction Masters Season II following a 2-1 victory over Atlantis in the final (16-13 on de_inferno, 4-16 on de_dust2 and 16-14 on de_mirage). A total of 20 teams from across Europe faced off in the second edition of xfunction Masters - which, unlike its predecessor, was played online - for the first prize of €900. Atlantis eSports came into this tournament as favourites after winning the Iberian Cup last week, and they confirmed their position as such after beating Why.eSports and xfunction with 2-0 scorelines in the playoffs.
On the other side of the bracket, it was a two-horse race between GPlay and k1ck, with the Bulgarian side moving past Ricardo "fox" Pacheco's team in a three-map contest to reach the grand final. GPlay came out the brighter in the match and secured a 1-0 lead in the series after winning de_inferno with a 16-13 scoreline, but then they took a huge blow as they were thrashed 4-16 on de_dust2. The final map, de_mirage, went down to the wire, with GPlay claiming bragging rigts in the end. xfunction Masters Season IIBest of 3 xfunction Masters II final standings:
